TUBE CITY IMS RECEIVES 45 SAFETY AWARDS FROM THE NATIONAL SLAG ASSOCIATION PITTSBURGH, October 22, 2015 – Tube City IMS Corporation, a leading provider of outsourced industrial services to steel mills globally, today announced that a number of the Company’s sites in the United States and Canada received a total of 45 Safety Awards from the National Slag Association (NSA) for 2014, the most of any steel mill services company.
The NSA Safety Awards recognize superior performance as measured against Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordable injury rates. The awards were presented to the Company during the NSA’s fall meeting held in Destin, Florida.

The Company’s operation in West Mifflin, PA, received the award for “2014 Most Improved Job Sites for Safety.” U.S. operations that received safety awards for “Job Sites with at Least 200,000 Hours Since Last Recordable Accident” were: Beaumont, TX; Calvert, AL; Ecorse, MI; Gary, IN; and Horsham, PA.
U.S. operations receiving safety awards for “Lowest Incident Rate” for employees were: Alabama: Birmingham; Arizona: Mesa; Arkansas: Ft. Smith; Kentucky: Rush; Illinois: Chicago; Indiana: Burns Harbor, East Chicago, Gary; Louisiana: Convent; Michigan: Ecorse, Jackson, River Rouge; Minnesota: St. Paul; New York: Auburn; North Carolina: Charlotte; Ohio: Cleveland, Middletown; Oregon: McMinnville; Pennsylvania: Belle Vernon, Braddock, Bridgeville, Horsham, Johnstown, Reading, West Mifflin; South Carolina: Darlington; Tennessee: Gallatin, Jackson, Knoxville; Texas: Beaumont, Freeport, Lonestar, Longview; Virginia: Petersburg.
